KitchenAid Artisan Mixers – Retro Styling
Quality stand mixers have been the cornerstone of KitchenAid's success for the last 90 years. From the first H-5 model in 1919 to the 1936 model designed by Egmont Arens, of which todays models still bear close resemblance, the qualities that made Kitchen Aid famous are still evident in todays KitchenAid Artisan Mixers.
The KitchenAid Artisan Mixers 600 is the embodiment of all that has become expected of the brand. Robust and powerful it effortlessly mixes cakes, cookies, even dough that some lightweight mixers struggle to cope with. Aesthetically also, KitchenAid has always stood out, the styling and color range are now instantly recognizable with a touch of retro that harks back to it's 1930's predecessor.
The KitchenAid Artisan Mixers 600 was given top marks when thoroughly tested by the respected America's Test Kitchen. For the discerning cook, it has a huge twelve pint bowl, solid and weighty all metal construction and at it's heart, a powerful 575 watt motor to drive the mixer. The voluminous bowl can accommodate and mash up to 8lbs. of potatoes in one hit or mix 14 cups of ordinary flour. The KitchenAid Artisan Mixers 600 kneads through a double batch of bread dough using the included Power Knead dough hook with ease.
Incorporating a sliding 10 speed control button, the KitchenAid Artisan Mixers 600 Pro can be easily controlled to stir very slowly or whip at high speed. Furthermore, a handy soft start accelerating function means that even the lightest ingredients stay in the bowl when you switch the mixer on. Any of us that have ever 'worn' the contents of the bowl after starting the mixer too fast will appreciate the beauty of this.
Like all Kitchen Aids before it, the Pro 600 has an accessory connection on the front and is concealed by a metal flap that flips up out of the way. Available attachments include a citrus juicer, food slicer, meat grinder, pasta roller, pasta extruder, grain mill and more. The new bowl shape is great. Having a wider mouth on it makes adding things like flour, eggs, etc. to your bowl while the machine is working not only easier but much less messy.
To protect the motor, your KitchenAid Artisan Mixers 600 is fitted with overload protection to stop the mixer if senses a fault. Robust metal gearing is also standard. In the unlikely event that you need to claim on your standard 12 month parts and labor warranty, you can rest assured that KitchenAid will pay for it to be returned to them and send you a brand new replacement, no questions asked.
If you also believe that your kitchen needn't be a style wasteland consider the KitchenAid Artisan Mixers 600 for your next mixer.
